What decision changed the course of your life?
Submitted by Ally.
Probably my college choice. From there, I met new friends... and we're still friends, and two of them live within two miles of me. Two more live within ten miles of me. We still get together for campfires, and support each other when we're going through rough times.
I also met my husband... and we're still friends :-)
I also got involved in the group that eventually drifted into the 15-year church saga... but that's another story!
Lots of rough road behind me, but I'm glad I've traveled it.
If you could make a magic wish for a futuristic gadget or high-tech innovation, what would your item do?

No question here... this desktop interface wins, no contest!!! I would absolutely love to see this work in real, er, digital, life!

Would you rather go back in time or visit the future?
Submitted by Auds.
I think it depends on how long I'd be staying. For a short visit, back in time - to see what it's like, wear neat clothes, eat the food. But I love modern convenience, so if it's a permanent thing, I'm all for going forward!
What's on your holiday wish list?
Have you ever Googled your own name? How did you feel about the results?

Heh. Pretty cool. I have such an uncommon name, and have been on the 'net for such a long time... the first 1.5 pages are ALL me, baby! Wanna see?
Then put quotes around "Marti Grahl" and you get me for three whole pages - nothing else. Check it out... the only link that doesn't work has to be pulled up using a cached version of the page, but I'm there!
It's funny to see the pattern of my life there... breastfeeding, beginning Nestmom.com, working with online AP businesses and being written about in some mags, then some house church stuff, some homeschooling stuff, some family stuff.
Great question!
In other name news, I went to a game night about two weeks ago, and the liason kept announcing me as "Mardi Gras." She thought my name was the funniest thing ever. I'm not sure she realized it's not REALLY the same as the holiday...
What is your favorite scent?
Submitted by Erinen.
I wouldn't want it in a perfume, but right now, it's the box hedges that are around my neighbor's house. They remind me of my grandparent's house, where I spent a lot of time in the summer, and of Williamsburg, one of my favorite places.

Tell us about your first kiss. Who was it with? How old were you?
Eighth grade, during the ten minute break before math, my last class of the day. I had to go outside to reach the classroom... there was a little ledge on the sidewalk, and we'd all sit there for the ten minute break until the bell rang.
Mark D. and I were "going together," and just before the bell rang, as everyone else was leaving, he leaned over and kissed me. Really kissed me. "Is that okay? That I did that?" he asked. Uhm, yeah! The entire math period is a blur. I was zoning and feeling my stomach flip over and over. I'm sure I looked like the typical starry-eyed, punch-drunk girl you see in TV shows...
